Viewer 1.23 RC2 Now Available

The third iteration of the 1.23 viewer, Release Candidate 2 (RC2), is now available for download as a mandatory upgrade.  As always, this RC may be installed along side any official viewer, and remember... on Thursday, May 21st, anyone still using version 1.20 will be required to upgrade to either 1.21 or 1.22.

Of note in RC2 are fixes for some of the Known Issues in RC1, which can be found in the new Key Fixes section of the Release Notes.  In addition, we have rearranged the Avatar and Avatar Attachment pie menus to improve accessibility for new users, while returning some frequently used options to familiar locations.  Highlighted at the top of the release notes, you will see several Known Issues with this RC.  Please take the time to read through these, and the rest of the release notes, at:

While we would love to have many residents running the release candidates, because they are not final viewer releases, participation in the viewer Release Candidate cycle is entirely optional.

To get started, either click the download link in the update notice on your RC1 login screen, or download the new Release Candidate from:

Please log all bugs found by reporting them in JIRA.  And don't forget to...

    * Select '1.23 Release Candidate' from the 'Affects Version/s' list
    * In the 'Description' field, please be sure include detailed steps to reproduce the bug, so that others can investigate the issue efficiently
    * Remember to copy & paste your environment and SL version information from 'Help > About Second Life...' into the the 'Environment' field
